What is a Community Salon?
Salons originated in 18th century Paris, creating warm, inviting spaces where stimulating conversation could flow, often with a focus on personal growth and building meaningful relationships.
Now we want to bring this concept back to 21st century Leuven, starting with the first salon aimed at gathering the expat and international community in a deeper, and more meaningful way.
Our introductory salon is themed Breaking Through The Isolation.
Whether you've just arrived, or been here for years, this salon will help you connect with other internationals in a deeper way than ever before, helping to forge new friendships and connections.
What to Expect
- Curated Conversations: Engage in guided discussions on themes like adapting to new cultures, navigating relationships abroad, maintaining mental well-being, and creating a sense of belonging.
- Safe and Welcoming Space: Larissa will facilitate a compassionate and non-judgmental environment where you can freely share your thoughts, experiences and wisdom.
- Personal Storytelling: Hear the stories of fellow expats, exchange insights, and gain a deeper understanding of how others navigate the expatriate experience.
- Mental Well-Being Focus: Break the isolation that often accompanies living in a foreign land. Learn practical tools for maintaining emotional and psychological balance, while finding support within the group.
Take the step toward deeper connection and well-being. We look forward to welcoming you to our expat community salon!
