About the event
Ahoy! Leuven's sailing community organizes together with IHL an indoor evening all about sailing.
On the program
Main topic: Surviving skills if stranded in open sea
We will deal many topics including the water in the physiology of human body, self distillation with practical hands-on crafting of real devices, the many possible psychological reactions, riddles... and also the dissection of a raw fish to show how its different parts can be relevant for survival. This last part will be at the end for who wants to skip it.
Everyone is welcome, whether you're already a weathered sailor looking for like-minded people, or totally new and just want to get a taste of it without any risk of getting wet.
You're also welcome to join the Sailors WhatsApp group (https://chat.whatsapp.com/Kxb2HCSsUQM3Me5WdVUzy3).
Looking forward to see yo!
Host
Andrzej known as Andy, originally from Poland, is an experienced sailor with a deep passion for the sea. He’s enjoyed countless cruises, both on the sea and inland, across Europe. After moving to Belgium for his studies, he noticed the lack of a proper sailing community and recently decided to create one himself. Andy’s excited to connect with fellow sailing enthusiasts and build a fun group where we can share tips, stories, and plan some great trips together.
