Young adults (18 - 35 years old) who are exploring their path and who want to share their journey with others.
About the event
On Tuesday the 3rd of March, the seventh session of Emblaze will take place at the International House. At our events young adults can express themselves, connect with others and grow in a safe space.
Emblaze events feature:
- Personal speeches from those who followed a preparatory workshop with us
- Fun and interactive breaks where you can get to know the other participants
Mini-workshops around specific public speaking aspects (e.g. storytelling, metaphors, and pauses) from a structured and spontaneous point of view
Our events are strongly centered on interaction. We often split up in groups of two or three for a game or exercise, sometimes we have group reflections and then sometimes those who want to give a personal speech for the whole group.

- 18h45-19h: Doors open
- 19h-19h30: Introduction + First Interezzo (e.g. sharing something about yourself using a paperclip as a prompt)
- 19h30-20h: Personal speeches
- 20h-20h10: Break
- 20h10-20h30: Second Interezzo
- 20h30-21h15: Mini-workshop about the power of tension in public speaking
- 21h15-21h30: Ending

Price: Free
Will there be food & drinks? Yes! Drinks (water, tea, kidibul) & snacks (healthy & unhealthy) will be provided.

About the organizers
Out of the serendipitous collision of two different personalities, Emblaze was born.
Next to shared interests such as reading books, listening to music, and making our ideas a reality, we collectively have:
- 12 years of experience in event organization
and given
- 60+ workshops in public speaking
- 100+ speeches to audiences of 5-500 people
