About the event
Ahoy! February 13th Leuven's sailing community organizes together with IHL an indoor evening all about sailing.
On the program
- travel story 10,000 miles in 10 minutes: Around the North-Atlantic
- talk on ancient navigation techniques
- sailing knots workshop
- fun and educational games
- introduction to sailing activities organized by the community
Everyone is welcome, whether you're already a weathered sailor looking for like-minded people, or totally new and just want to get a taste of it without any risk of getting wet.

Andrzej known as Andy, originally from Poland, is an experienced sailor with a deep passion for the sea. He’s enjoyed countless cruises, both on the sea and inland, across Europe. After moving to Belgium for his studies, he noticed the lack of a proper sailing community and recently decided to create one himself. Andy’s excited to connect with fellow sailing enthusiasts and build a fun group where we can share tips, stories, and plan some great trips together.
